Rabi Pulse Progress Slightly Above Average

PANAMA - Nov 16/20 - SNS -- India's farmers continued to make good progress seeding this year's rabi season crops, with land in all crops advancing to 18.514 million hectares, compared to 15.301 at this time last year but behind the recent five year average of 20.233 million hectares.

The quicker pace to seeding versus last year was expected. Last year's progress was delayed by a later than usual kharif season harvest in several parts of the country resulting from the delayed onset of the 2019 monsoon season.
