Dry Beans Gather Momentum

PANAMA - Nov 6/20 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets ended the week's trading on a firm note, helped by expectations of improved demand from Mexico and possibly Brazil.

This was reflected in the dry edible bean price index for that country, which finished the week 1.8 points higher at 74.6 on strength in colored beans.

The global pulse price index inched up 0.2 points on the week to close at 80.6, while the Canadian index rose 1.6 to 78.7 points.
