Canada's Lentil Exports Maintain Solid Tone
PANAMA - Nov 4/20 - SNS -- Movement of lentils from Canada rocketed relative to the previous month in September, data from Statistics Canada shows.
Movement reached 349,623 metric tons (MT) during the month, up 304% from the 86,583 MT exported the previous month. Shipments so far total 436,206 MT, compared to 387,301 during the last marketing year.
Current trade data reported India was top destination, buying 116,671 MT during the month. Turkey was the second most important buyer receiving 109,270 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 41,361 MT.
