Green Lentil Exports From Canada Maintain Firm Performance
PANAMA - Nov 4/20 - SNS -- Canada's movement of green lentils in September were up significantly, rising compared to the previous month, judging from data from Statistics Canada.
Shipments during the month reached 42,828 metric tons (MT), up from 33,976 MT the prior month. This boosted shipments so far during the marketing year to 76,804, up 9% last year.
The most recent trade data revealed India was biggest destination, receiving 12,935 MT. Algeria was the second most important importer taking 6,999 MT, followed by Morocco at 2,925 MT.
