Canada's Green Pea Exports Continue Firm Performance
PANAMA - Nov 4/20 - SNS -- Shipments of green peas for Canada were up significantly, rising compared to the previous month in September, trade data from Statistics Canada reports.
Shipments during the month reached 21,560 metric tons (MT), up from 16,547 MT the prior month. This lifted exports so far during the marketing year to 38,107, up 71% last year.
During the month, China was the largest importer, receiving 5,931 MT. United Arab Emirates was the second most important consumer buying 2,534 MT, followed by Philippines at 2,502 MT.
