Birdseeds Mostly Hold Firm
PANAMA - Oct 30/20 - SNS -- Values in birdseed ingredient markets experienced another mixed week, with prices in parts of the sector influenced by last week's easing in values for grains and oilseeds.
Both white proso millet and canaryseed were moderately firmer in inter-dealer markets while bids to growers held their recent advances. Significantly, grower sales of all major crops in Canada have posted sharp gains over last year.
Total deliveries reported by the Canadian Grain Commission reached 17.39 million metric tons (MT) between August 1 and October 25, compared to 14.45 million during the same period last year.
