Turkey's Lentil Exports Reveal Weak Performance

PANAMA - Oct 20/20 - SNS -- Turkey's exports of lentils during August dropped compared to the previous month, judging from data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).

Exports totalled 22,848 metric tons (MT) during the month, down 5% from the 23,961 MT exported the previous month. Exports so far total 291,685 MT, compared to 154,547 during the previous calendar year.

For the month, Sudan was the biggest importer, buying 6,387 MT. Iraq was the second most important importer buying 2,956 MT, followed by Yemen at 2,098 MT.
