Potential Export Mustard Prices Advance

PANAMA - Oct 9/20 - SNS -- Mustard seed markets maintained their "steady as you go" mentality during the past week, with prices for brown and oriental holding steady at the grower level in Canada, while oriental eased on the week.

More importantly, the longer the recent strength of the Canadian dollar is sustained, it could become a factor in export asking prices as processors and exporters defend profit margins.

The U.S. dollar equivalent prices for yellow and brown advanced 4% on the week, while oriental was up 1%.
