Canada's Lentil Exports Reveal Easy Month

PANAMA - Oct 6/20 - SNS -- Shipments of lentils from Canada sank compared to the previous month in August, data from Statistics Canada shows.

Movement for the month reached 211,702 metric tons (MT), down from 301,298 MT the previous month. This increased exports so far during the marketing year to 211,702, up 85% last year.

The most recent trade statistics reported India was most important importer, taking 105,474 MT. Turkey was the second most important consumer receiving 29,006 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 22,469 MT.
