PANAMA - Sep 25/20 - SNS -- Chickpea markets were largely unchanged in relatively light trade during the past week and tight supplies of large caliber product.
North American suppliers appear more focussed on domestic than export markets in the face of solid competition for available demand from countries like Russia.
Initial harvest activity has been reported in Queensland in Australia, with exporters seeing some demand from Bangladesh as that country works to restore food inventories lost or damaged to severe flooding this year. But, disappointment was expressed over interest from Pakistan.
