Lentils Continue Their Advance
PANAMA - Sep 25/20 - SNS -- Lentil markets continued their advance during the past week in response to India's decision to reduce duties on product arriving before October 31.
Prices in the United States were little changed because duties on that origin remain higher than for other countries. But, values in Canada posted significant week over week advances for both red and green lentils in grower and export markets.
While the window of opportunity to ship product from origin to India is rapidly closing because of transit times, two additional factors could be contributing to price gains.
