Quiet Tone in Chickpeas

PANAMA - Sep 18/20 - SNS -- International chickpea markets maintained their relatively quiet tone through the past week.

Some exporters and processors reported a modest improvement in sales activity based on the improved availability of new crop product in both the United States and Canada.

Processors in Canada are starting to express disappointments over the average caliber and quality of this year's harvest, which is reflected in advances in prices offered to farmers for sound chickpeas.
