Turkey's Lentil Imports Reveal Easy Performance

PANAMA - Sep 16/20 - SNS -- At this point in this calendar year revealed a easier month, with lentil imports by Turkey sank compared to the previous month in July, according to available data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).

Imports during the month reached 40,774 metric tons (MT), down from 89,693 MT the prior month. This lifted imports so far during the calendar year to 408,932, up 122% last year.

The biggest exporter during the month was Canada, supplying 36,674 MT. Syria was the second most important export origin shipping 2,000 MT, followed by United States at 1,049 MT.
