Turkey's Sunflower Seed Imports Continue Easy Trend
PANAMA - Sep 16/20 - SNS -- So far during this calendar year kept up their weaker tone, with sunflower seed imports by Turkey fell sharply compared to the previous month in July, according to trade statistics from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).
Imports reached 21,267 metric tons (MT) for the month, down 84% from the 134,992 MT exported the previous month. Imports so far total 899,365 MT, compared to 919,518 in the same period the last calendar year.
China was the number one origin, supplying 10,944 MT. Bulgaria was the second most important shipper shipping 9,719 MT, followed by Argentina at 324 MT.
