Pakistan's Chickpea Imports Start With Strong Note
PANAMA - Sep 16/20 - SNS -- Pakistan's imports of chickpeas in March showed modest gains, advancing compared to the previous month, according to data from Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
Total imports for the month reached 7,112 metric tons (MT), up 8% from the previous month's total of 6,609. So far imports have amounted to 104,673 MT, up from 98,670 in the same period the last calendar year.
For the month, United States was the top export origin, supplying 1,843 MT. Russia was the second most important supplier shipping 1,492 MT, followed by Argentina at 1,145 MT.
