PANAMA - Sep 11/20 - SNS -- International pulse markets strengthened during the past week, though dry edible beans were largely unchanged as markets wait for the harvest to advance further.
This was reflected in the spot index for dry edible beans in the United States, which unchanged on the week 72.5. By contrast, the global pulse price index jumped 3 points to close at 75.9, while the Canadian pulse prices index advanced 0.5 points to finish at 69.1.
Markets are moderately interested in the September 14 production estimates from Statistics Canada. Based on agroclimatic and satellite data, they should help gain a better idea of this year's yield potential.
