Green Pea Exports From Canada Post Weak Performance
PANAMA - Sep 3/20 - SNS -- Canada's export shipments of green peas during July were slightly lower, falling compared to the previous month, according to data from Statistics Canada.
Exports reached 20,286 metric tons (MT) during the month, down 9% from the 22,389 MT shipped the previous month. Exports so far total 319,689 MT, versus 301,899 during the previous marketing year.
During the month, Sri Lanka was the most important consumer, taking 3,613 MT. Philippines was the second most important consumer buying 3,152 MT, followed by India at 2,547 MT.
