Australia's Lentils Exports Record Soft Month
PANAMA - Sep 3/20 - SNS -- At this point in the marketing year recorded a weaker month, with lentils exports for Australia were little changed, dropping compared to the previous month in July, according to available data from Australia Bureau of Statistics.
Exports reached 57,148 metric tons (MT) for the month, down 4% from the 59,424 MT exported the previous month. Movement so far total 584,532 MT, compared to 251,728 in the same period the previous marketing year.
India was the largest buyer, taking 33,483 MT. Bangladesh was the second most important buyer taking 13,926 MT, followed by Sri Lanka at 6,131 MT.
