Mixed Week as Lentils Harvest Advances

PANAMA - Aug 28/20 - SNS -- International lentil markets finished the week's trading on a mixed note, with some market participants complaining that farmers are not keen sellers of new crop product.

Grower attitudes toward sales at this time of year are influenced by two factors: lower carry over from the previous marketing year and the fact they are preoccupied with the harvest because weather conditions are permitting them to access fields at a faster pace.

Most of Saskatchewan should see warm days for much of the coming week, with some areas in the eastern part of the province expected showers, which could interfere with local harvest progress.
