Harvest Progress Lifts Farmer Deliveries
PANAMA - Aug 28/20 - SNS -- Field pea markets were little changed as farmers continued to harvest this year's crop and markets try to assess average yields and quality reported by farmers and field agents.
The first indication of production levels will come with Monday's crop report from Statistics Canada. During the past five years, the first production estimate has averaged 3% lower than final number.
In September, a model based estimated will be released. On average, it has been identical to the actually, but last year it was 9% higher than the final, while the August estimate was 6% higher.
