PANAMA - Aug 28/20 - SNS --Chickpea markets were little changed in relatively light trade during the past week.
Markets appear to be paying more attention to this year's harvest progress, including reports of a mysterious disease afflicting the crop in parts of Saskatchewan for the second year in a row.
Agronomists do not understand the reason they are seeing chlorosis, wilting and some plant die-off over a large part of the growing area. Some farmers report the problem spreads rapidly and can affect as much as 80% of the plants in a field.
