REGINA - Aug 27/20 - SNS -- Saskatchewan's pea and lentil harvest are now over half complete, according to the latest crop report from Saskatchewan's provincial agriculture department.
The field pea harvest is now 56% complete, compared to 27% at this time last year and the recent five year average of 65% in the bin after the third week of August. Another 14% was ready to straight combine and 2% of the crop was in swath.
There were no recent updates on progress in Alberta, while Manitoba's harvest is 70% complete, compared to 90% last year and the recent three year average of 94% in the bin.
