Mustard in Holding Pattern
PANAMA - Aug 21/20 - SNS -- North American mustard seed markets remained largely unchanged during the past week, unaffected by average harvest progress in Canada.
Saskatchewan Agriculture reported that 14% of this year's crop was in the bib as of August 17, compared to none last year and just ahead of the recent five year average of 13% complete.
Another 8% of the crop was ready to straight combine, while the remaining 78% was still standing. The harvest is also underway in Alberta, but there was little initial provincial data available on the rate of progress.
