Field Pea Imports By Spain Maintain Weak Trend
PANAMA - Aug 19/20 - SNS -- Imports of field peas for Spain plunged compared to the previous month in June, recent data from Eurostat reveals.
Imports during the month reached 222 metric tons (MT), down from 5,322 MT the previous month. This boosted imports so far during the calendar year to 21,403, down 8% last year.
Current movement statistics revealed Canada was number one shipper, supplying 95 MT for the month. United States was the second most important supplier supplying 68 MT, followed by Argentina at 46 MT.
