PANAMA - Aug 14/20 - SNS -- Turkey's shipments of lentils in June were well down, plunging compared to the previous month, according to data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).
Exports totalled 31,068 metric tons (MT) in the month, down 25% from the 41,209 MT exported the previous month. Shipments so far total 244,877 MT, versus 129,727 in the same period the previous calendar year.
Sudan was the most important consumer, taking 9,502 MT. Eritrea was the second most important destination buying 3,850 MT, followed by Syria at 3,228 MT.
