French Exports End Slow
PARIS - Aug 11/20 - SNS -- Field pea exports from France ended the country's 2019-20 marketing campaign on an easier note, with shipments during the month dropping from May, according to data from Eurostat and Terres Univia.
Export shipments during the month totalled 20,076 metric tons (MT), down 31% the 29,345 MT shipped the previous month, and down 5% from the 21,205 MT shipped the same month last year.
This lifted export shipments for the season to 262,730 MT, up 21% from the 216,940 MT shipped during the previous marketing year. European Union destinations accounted for 89.1% of all pea exports, compared to 97.7% last season.
