Desi Chickpea Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 3/20 - STAT -- Canadian Desi Chickpea markets finished the 2019-20 marketing year with prices offered to growers easing 3% below the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for Desi Chickpea was CDN$21.03 per metric ton (MT), compared to an average annual bid of $21.57 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $26.00 per MT in February, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $15.20 per MT in August.
