Lentils Watching Weather More Closely

PANAMA - Jul 17/20 - SNS -- International lentil markets were little changed in the past week, with old crop markets supported by relatively strong end of season bulk export shipments from Canada.

Growers appear to be taking advantage of late season demand to clear bins in preparation for the coming harvest.

Lentil crops in both Canada and the United States are in good condition, though localized problems with excess moisture and plant diseases have been reported.
