Field Pea Imports By China Continue Weak Tone

PANAMA - Jul 14/20 - SNS -- So far during this calendar year continued their weaker tone, with field pea imports for China eased relative to the previous month in May, according to data from General Customs Administration of China
NOTE: Data for Jan and Feb 2020 is not available.

Imports for the month totalled 180,709 metric tons (MT), down from 202,443 MT the prior month. This increased imports so far during the calendar year to 580,225, down 12% last year.

Canada was the largest origin for the month, shipping 173,185 MT. United States was the second most important export origin supplying 3,694 MT, followed by France at 3,123 MT.
