Modest Slip in Crop Ratings

WASHINGTON - Jul 13/20 - SNS -- Dry edible bean crops in the United States deteriorated slightly during the past week, judging from state level crop reports.

Crop conditions in Michigan improved slightly during the week on account of precipitation late in the week. However, areas that did not receive significant precipitation were still showing signs of stress.

Minnesota reported that warm temperatures boosted crop development in the state but there were reports of crop damage in the West Central part of the State caused by high winds and hail.
