Beans Mainly Unchanged on Week

PANAMA - Jul 10/20 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets were mostly unchanged on the week as tight inventories in net exporting countries kept processors and exporters in a defensive posture.

At the same time, buyers are somewhat reserved, expecting that bigger crops in some regions will have a negative impact on average values in the coming marketing year.

This considerations allowed the spot index for dry edible beans in the United States to finish the week unchanged at 95.4 points. The global pulse index lost 0.5 points to finish the week at 80 as old crop markets continue to converge with new crop. The Canadian pulse prices index was also easier on the week, slipping 0.4 points to finish at 75.4.
