Mustard Seed Firmer On Production Worries

PANAMA - Jul 10/20 - SNS -- North American mustard seed ended the week on a firmer note as markets responded to Statistics Canada's estimate that seeded area dropped sharply from last year.

Total area in Canada sank from 399,000 to 256,500 acres, well below the 394,500 acres farmers said they intended to plant this year.

This saw prices at the grower and inter dealer levels finish the week on a generally firmer note, with new crop prices generally advancing, while spot markets were unchanged to firmer.
