Green Lentil Exports From Canada Record Improved Oucome
PANAMA - Jul 2/20 - SNS -- Canada's export shipments of green lentils during May showed huge gains, soaring versus the previous month, according to data from Statistics Canada.
Exports totalled 75,025 metric tons (MT) during the month, up 75% from the 42,876 MT exported the previous month. Exports so far total 362,343 MT, compared to 387,568 during the last marketing year.
India was the number one importer during the month, receiving 15,514 MT. Morocco was the second most important destination buying 9,165 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 8,223 MT.
