WASHINGTON - Jun 30/20 - SNS -- U.S. growers planted 5.62 million acres of sorghum for all purposes in 2020, up 7% from last year, according to the USDA's seeded area estimate for 2020.
Kansas and Texas, the leading sorghum-producing States, account for 79% of the United States acreage. Growers expect to harvest 4.85 million acres for grain, up 4% from last year.
