U.S. Dry Bean Mostly Good Condition

WASHINGTON - Jun 29/20 - SNS -- Seeding of this year's dry edible bean crop is 96% complete, with growers in Colorado finishing up, while their counterparts in Michigan made good progress in improved weather conditions.

State level estimates suggest 72% of the crop is in good to excellent condition, with 22% in fair condition and the balance rated poor or very poor.

Crop reporters in Montana report that drought conditions continue to have a drastic effect on areas of the state, with reporters in Prairie, Powder River, Richland and Wibaux counties saying continual warm, dry conditions are putting stress on crops.
