U.S. Dry Bean Seeding Reaches 82%

WASHINGTON - Jun 15/20 - SNS -- Over three quarters of this year's intended dry edible bean area in the United States is now in the ground, judging from the latest state level crop progress reports.

Seeding progress is now above the recent five year average of 77% and just ahead of the 81% sown by the middle of June last year.

Progress has been aided by warm and dry weather conditions in for part of the week, while some areas reported problems with excess rainfall.
