Germany's Confection Sunflower Imports Continue Easy Trend

PANAMA - Jun 15/20 - SNS -- At this point in the current calendar year continued their easier trend, with confection sunflower imports for Germany fell sharply compared to the previous month in April, according to the most recent statistics from Eurostat.

Imports during the month reached 1,753 metric tons (MT), down from 17,785 MT the previous month. This boosted imports so far during the calendar year to 67,463, down 24% last year.

For the month, Turkey was the top supplier, selling 667 MT. Moldova was the second most important exporter selling 560 MT, followed by Ukraine at 193 MT.
