Turkey's Lentil Imports Post Easy Month

PANAMA - Jun 9/20 - SNS -- Turkey's imports of lentils during April were slightly lower, falling versus the previous month, judging from data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).

Imports totalled 81,257 metric tons (MT) for the month, down 19% from the 100,220 MT shipped the previous month. Imports so far total 250,689 MT, compared to 124,711 in the same period the previous calendar year.

The number one supplier during the month was Canada, supplying 71,278 MT. Kazakhstan was the second most important export origin selling 7,357 MT, followed by Australia at 1,261 MT.
