Lentil Exports From Turkey Continue Solid Performance
PANAMA - Jun 9/20 - SNS -- Movement of lentils from Turkey recorded solid gains, advancing relative to the previous month in April, the latest data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) reports.
Total export sales during the month reached 59,375 metric tons (MT), up 34% from the previous month's total of 44,192. So far exports have amounted to 172,625 MT, up from 103,541 during the last calendar year.
Iraq was the number one importer for the month, receiving 20,471 MT. Germany was the second most important importer receiving 3,778 MT, followed by Eritrea at 3,500 MT.
