Yellow Pea Exports From Canada Continue Firm Tone
PANAMA - Jun 4/20 - SNS -- Canada's shipments of yellow peas in April rocketed versus the previous month, judging from data from Statistics Canada.
Exports totalled 306,348 metric tons (MT) in the month, up 83% from the 167,136 MT exported the previous month. Export sales so far total 2,327,162 MT, compared to 1,791,748 during the last marketing year.
China was the most important buyer, buying 182,187 MT. Bangladesh was the second most important destination buying 88,539 MT, followed by Cuba at 26,000 MT.
