Chickpea Exports From Australia Reveal Easy Month
PANAMA - Jun 4/20 - SNS -- Shipments of chickpeas from Australia were little changed, dropping relative to the previous month in April, data from Australia Bureau of Statistics reveals.
Shipments totalled 13,525 metric tons (MT) in the month, down 19% from the 16,699 MT shipped the previous month. Export sales so far total 231,080 MT, compared to 207,442 during the previous marketing year.
Current movement data revealed United Arab Emirates was number one destination, taking 4,125 MT during the month. Pakistan was the second most important consumer taking 1,960 MT, followed by Bangladesh at 1,612 MT.
