Pakistan's Field Pea Imports Sustain Strong Performance
PANAMA - May 27/20 - SNS -- At this point in the current calendar year are maintaining their stronger tone, with field pea imports for Pakistan recorded massive improvement, jumping compared to the previous month in December, according to the latest statistics from Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
Imports during the month totalled 58,968 metric tons (MT), up from 10,625 MT the previous month. This boosted imports so far during the calendar year to 235,690, up 24% last year.
Current trade data reported Russia was biggest origin, selling 32,096 MT during the month. Australia was the second most important exporter supplying 11,941 MT, followed by Turkey at 2,795 MT.
