Oil-type Sunflower Exports From Romania Start With Soft Tone

PANAMA - May 15/20 - SNS -- Romania's exports of oil-type sunflowers during March fell sharply compared to the previous month, judging from data from Eurostat.

Exports reached 3,169 metric tons (MT) during the month, down 97% from the 95,331 MT exported the previous month. Shipments so far total 276,215 MT, compared to 416,755 in the same period the last calendar year.

The most recent movement data reported Turkey was number one importer, receiving 3,133 MT. Other was the second most important destination receiving 22 MT, followed by Switzerland at 10 MT.
