Confection Sunflower Imports By Germany Start With Weak Note
PANAMA - May 15/20 - SNS -- Germany's imports of confection sunflowers during March shrank versus the previous month, judging from data from Eurostat.
Total imports for the month amounted to 2,065 metric tons (MT), down 94% from the previous month's total of 35,710. So far imports have amounted to 49,991 MT, down from 65,875 in the same period the last calendar year.
In the month, China was the number one exporter, shipping 868 MT. Moldova was the second most important origin shipping 543 MT, followed by Turkey at 455 MT.
