Canada's Field Pea Exports Post Easy Performance
PANAMA - May 5/20 - SNS -- Shipments of field peas for Canada were well down, plunging versus the previous month in March, official trade data from Statistics Canada reports.
Exports for the month reached 224,095 metric tons (MT), down from 301,829 MT the previous month. This boosted movement so far during the marketing year to 2,461,944, up 22% last year.
Recent trade data revealed China was largest consumer, receiving 129,395 MT for the month. Nepal was the second most important importer receiving 28,142 MT, followed by Bangladesh at 25,653 MT.
