Canada's Red Lentil Exports Start On Strong Tone
PANAMA - May 5/20 - SNS -- So far during the marketing year with their a firmer tone, with red lentil movement for Canada made minorgains, advancing compared to the previous month in March, according to available data from Statistics Canada.
Export sales for the month reached 181,455 metric tons (MT), up from 180,503 MT the previous month. This increased shipments so far during the marketing year to 948,510, up 17% last year.
In the month, United Arab Emirates was the largest destination, taking 49,137 MT. Turkey was the second most important importer receiving 36,549 MT, followed by Bangladesh at 25,546 MT.
