Turkey's Sunflower Seed Imports Start With Firm Note
PANAMA - Apr 30/20 - SNS -- Imports of sunflower seeds by Turkey rocketed compared to the previous month in February, recent data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) reveals.
Imports for the month reached 187,326 metric tons (MT), up from 85,848 MT the previous month. This lifted imports so far during the calendar year to 273,174, up 132% last year.
The latest movement data showed Russia was top origin, selling 155,874 MT. Other was the second most important supplier selling 9,866 MT, followed by China at 9,446 MT.
