Pigeon Pea Imports By India Maintain Easy Trend

PANAMA - Apr 13/20 - SNS -- So far during the calendar year maintained a easier trend, with pigeon pea imports by India shrank relative to the previous month in December, according to official trade data from Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence & Statistics.

Imports reached 24,482 metric tons (MT) during the month, down 75% from the 97,953 MT exported the previous month. Imports so far total 431,663 MT, versus 463,102 in the same period the last calendar year.

During the month, Mozambique was the top origin, supplying 22,451 MT. Myanmar was the second most important export origin selling 1,639 MT, followed by Tanzania at 375 MT.
