Mung Bean Imports By India Extend Weak Tone

PANAMA - Apr 13/20 - SNS -- India's imports of mung beans during December sank versus the previous month, judging from data from Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence & Statistics.

Imports for the month totalled 11,442 metric tons (MT), down from 39,763 MT the prior month. This lifted imports so far during the calendar year to 278,929, down 43% last year.

The most recent trade statistics showed Myanmar was top origin, supplying 10,357 MT. United Arab Emirates was the second most important shipper supplying 478 MT, followed by Uzbekistan at 216 MT.
