Chickpea Exports From Australia Record Soft Opening
PANAMA - Apr 7/20 - SNS -- So far during the current marketing year recordedan easier month, with chickpea export shipments from Australia were little changed, dropping relative to the previous month in February, according to the latest data from Australia Bureau of Statistics.
Export sales totalled 50,494 metric tons (MT) for the month, down 9% from the 55,569 MT shipped the previous month. Movement so far total 201,457 MT, compared to 141,679 in the same period the previous marketing year.
Bangladesh was the largest importer, taking 26,380 MT. Pakistan was the second most important destination buying 21,063 MT, followed by Other at 1,285 MT.
